PIF-owned Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer of world-leading tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA on Saudi Arabia’s west coast, has announced the opening of its first Health & Safety Training Academy, following a pilot phase during which 1,000 workers were trained.
Located at luxury wellness destination AMAALA, the first-of-its-kind academy offers free training for RSG’s workforce, partners, and contractors, supporting the development of essential construction skills and safety capabilities.
John Dunne, Group Head of Health & Safety at RSG, said: “As our first dedicated training center, the AMAALA Health & Safety Training Academy is designed to empower our partners and contractors with enhanced construction and safety practices. By ensuring exemplary safety protocols across all RSG’s developments, the academy aims to become the benchmark institution for health & safety training for Saudi Arabia and beyond.”
Partnering with industry leaders, such as Mine Safety Appliances (MSA) Safety Company, Reda, and ACROW, the academy offers hands-on, construction themed-based training, and aims to become the benchmark institution for health & safety training for Saudi Arabia.
RSG’s comprehensive training portfolio adheres to the highest international safety standards, including being certified by international organizations, including Highfield, IOSH, and NEBOSH.
The launch of the academy demonstrates how PIF portfolio companies are contributing to knowledge, knowhow and innovation transfer to Saudi Arabia. It also reflects PIF’s mandate to promote workforce development through training programs and jobs.
