Halal Products Development Company (HPDC) has announced a strategic partnership with Tanmiah Food Company, one of Saudi Arabia’s key companies in the food manufacturing industry.
The agreement aims to kick-start HPDC’s consultancy services to provide value across a variety of fields, including assisting exporters and investors in receiving halal certification, and giving bespoke support within the halal marketplace.
In the presence of His Excellency Amr Al-Dabbagh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tanmiah Food Company, the partnership agreement was signed by Fahad Al-Nuhait, Chief Executive Officer of HPDC and Ahmad Osilan, Executive Board Member and Managing Director of Tanmiah Food Company.
Al-Nuhait said that the partnership is an extension of the company’s goal to build the Saudi halal products ecosystem by linking it to high-demand markets, which will be strengthened by multilateral cooperation with stakeholders in the private and public sectors.
Osilan added that the step aligns with the PIF-owned HPDC’s objective to support Saudi Arabia’s food security efforts, in line with Vision 2030, the nation’s blueprint for economic reform.
With PIF’s mandate centered on developing and advancing the capabilities of strategic sectors – including consumer goods and retail, and food and agriculture – HPDC aims to localize knowledge, innovation and knowhow for the expansion of Saudi Arabia’s halal ecosystem and to connect it to global markets.
